PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)

injections e.g. for Plantar fasciitis, sports injuries, muscle tears, ligaments, arthritis

This non-surgical technique in regenerative medicine uses the patient’s plasma to promote regeneration and stimulate the healing process with concentrated growth factors and anti-inflammatory cytokines.

Elite athletes use PRP to reduce pain and inflammation whilst restoring function and performance.

Patients who wish to avoid steroid injections can consider PRP injections to speed up the healing process and reduce pain, whilst avoiding further cartilage or tendon damage. There is evidence that PRP has superior long-term efficacy to steroid injections.
